We honor the in-between spaces of life. Our services help you hold love and grief together to find meaning and support during life’s transitions.
Who we are
Bardo and Bray exists to bring compassionate presence and honest conversation to the often unspoken experiences of aging, dying, grief, and legacy.
Hospice teams, medical providers, and funeral homes offer essential and meaningful care during the end of life journey. Yet many individuals and families still find themselves navigating the emotional, existential, and deeply human aspects of mortality without space to process, reflect, or ask the questions that arise before, between, and after those services.
Bardo and Bray was created to help support those spaces throughout the greater Lehigh Valley.
Our mission is to normalize conversations about death and offer thoughtful, non-medical support so individuals and families can move through life’s final chapters with presence, dignity, and connection.
Because the end of life is not only a medical event or a funeral service—it is a deeply human transition that deserves conversation, reflection, and care.

The Story Behind the name…
The word “Bardo” comes from Tibetan philosophy and refers to a transitional space — the threshold between one state of being and another. It is often used to describe the passage between life and death, but it can also represent the many transitions we experience throughout life.
“Bray” is the sound of a voice calling out — a reminder that even in uncertain moments, there is expression, presence, and connection.
Together, Bardo and Bray represents the space between endings and beginnings — and the human need to be witnessed, heard, and accompanied as we move through life’s most profound transitions.
