This work began with the loss of two of the most transformational people in my life: my Maternal Grandmother and Paternal Poppop who passed just weeks apart. Sitting beside them, I felt the full weight of love and grief, and noticed the spaces that are often left unheld—the quiet, tender moments that come after a loved one dies. These experiences shaped the way I see life, death, and the importance of compassionate presence.
Through this journey, I discovered a calling: to hold that space for others. To guide families and loved ones through overwhelming transitions, to help create meaning in the moments that follow, and to honor the delicate, sacred experiences that occur at the end of life.
I am a trained end-of-life doula and educator, with over a decade of experience providing support services in hospice and healthcare settings. During that time, I sat at the bedside, offered presence to patients and families, and witnessed the profound moments of love, loss, and reflection that unfold at the end of life. I also co-created a professional end-of-life doula education program, teaching others how to provide compassionate, grounded support at the bedside and beyond. Over time, I saw again and again the spaces where families need compassionate guidance, steady presence, and support—both following hospice care and after funeral services.
Bardo & Bray was born to fill that space. Here, love and grief can exist together, nothing needs to be rushed, and support is both gentle and intentional. I am not here to fix grief or move it along; I am here to sit with it, to help make sense of what feels heavy, and to walk alongside you as you navigate life’s most sacred moments.
